VJ (Victory over Japan) Day was commemorated by the Hall on Saturday 15th August.
This is the day, 75 years ago, on which Imperial Japan surrendered in World War II, in effect bringing the war to an end. We have a 'Roll of Honour' page that holds details of the men from the village who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting us and their country.
To commemorate this the hall and bar were open during the day and the Committee would like to thank all volunteers who displayed their collections of war time memorabilia and for making the day such a success.
